Centre for Management Development (CMD) Seeks Qualified Candidates for K-DISC Projects
The Centre for Management Development (CMD), on behalf of the Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC - a Public Sector Undertaking of Government of Kerala), is inviting applications for the position of Mother Animators. The selected candidates will be associated with the Manchadi and Mazhavillu Projects on a contract basis. Interested individuals are encouraged to fill out the application form provided by CMD.
About K-DISC and its Mission to Promote Innovation
K-DISC, established by the Government of Kerala on March 24, 2018, is a strategic think-tank and advisory body. Its primary objective is to foster innovation in the state by developing path-breaking strategic plans in technology, product and process innovations, and social shaping of technology. K-DISC aims to create a conducive ecosystem for nurturing innovations in Kerala.
Introduction to Manchadi and Mazhavillu Projects
The Manchadi Project, known as "Teach Mathematics for Kerala," focuses on enhancing the proficiency of primary-level children in mathematics. It involves the development of a Community Math Lab (CML) to facilitate child-centered, activity-based learning and teacher-guided re-intervention in mathematics.
The Mazhavillu Project, titled "Teach Science for Kerala," aims to improve the science proficiency of primary-level children. It adopts an integrated teaching and learning methodology based on the Conceptual Change approach.
Details of Available Positions and Qualifications
The vacant positions include Mother Animators for both the Manchadi and Mazhavillu Projects. Candidates applying for the Manchadi Project should preferably possess a B.Sc. degree in Mathematics or any science-related field. For the Mazhavillu Project, a degree in any science discipline or its equivalent is required. The maximum age limit for all positions is 40 years. The selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly pay of Rs. 12,500.

The application process starts on June 7, 2023, at 10:00 AM and closes on June 16, 2023, at 05:00 PM. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in government-approved projects related to mathematics or science.
