Job Vacancies at BEL: Trainee Engineer -I and Project Engineer -I Positions
BEL has announced job vacancies for the following positions:
- Trainee Engineer -I (Job Code: FLC01): 125 posts across India
- Trainee Engineer -I (Job Code: SPS02): 9 posts across India
- Trainee Engineer -I (Job Code: MH03): 8 posts in District & Taluk level centres in Maharashtra
- Trainee Engineer -I (Job Code: EVM04): 43 posts in Bengaluru
- Trainee Engineer -I (Job Code: SK05): 6 posts in Bengaluru
- Project Engineer -I (Job Code: EVM06): 14 posts in Bengaluru
Eligibility Criteria for the Job Vacancies
Candidates interested in applying for these positions should meet the following eligibility criteria:
For Trainee Engineer -I positions: Candidates must have completed a 4-year full-time B.Sc (Engg.)/B.E/B.Tech Engineering course from any AICTE recognized Institute/University in relevant disciplines. Specific experience and knowledge requirements are mentioned for each job code.
For Project Engineer -I positions: Candidates must have completed a 4-year full-time B.Sc (Engg.)/B.E/B.Tech Engineering course from any AICTE recognized Institute/University in relevant disciplines. Specific experience and knowledge requirements are mentioned for the job code.
Age Limit for BEL Job Vacancies
The upper age limit for all positions is 28 years as of June 1, 2023. However, there are relaxations for SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates. SC and ST candidates have a 5-year age relaxation, while OBC candidates have a 3-year age relaxation. PwBD candidates with minimum 40% disability or more have a 10-year age relaxation in addition to the relaxations applicable to other categories.
Selection Process for BEL Job Vacancies
The selection process for these positions will consist of a Written Test and an Interview. The Written Test will carry 85 marks, and candidates who pass the test will be called for an interview. The weightage for the interview is 15%. The minimum qualifying marks are 35% for General, EWS, and OBC candidates, and 30% for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates.

Application Fees
a) Project Engineer-I: General, EWS and OBC candidates are required to remit an amount of Rs. 472/- (Application fee-Rs.400/- plus 18% GST)
b) Trainee Engineer-I: General, EWS and OBC candidates are required to remit an amount of Rs.177/- (Application fee-Rs.150/- plus 18% GST)
SC/ST/ PwBD candidates are exempted from payment of application fee
