The Department of Women and Child Development has announced job openings for Anganwadi Worker/Helper positions in 49 Anganwadis of Kalamassery Municipality under the Edappally Additional ICDS Project. Eligible candidates are invited to apply for these posts. Women aged between 18 and 46 years can submit their applications starting from January 1, 2023.
Application Process and Eligibility Criteria
Interested candidates can obtain the application form from the Anganwadi Centers under Kalamassery Municipality or from the website of the Kalamassery Office. The application forms are available at the Project Office located in the Women Development Building, Kalamassery Najath Nagar.
Eligibility Criteria for Anganwadi Worker:
- Education: Applicants must have passed SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate).
- Residence: Candidates must be permanent residents of Kalamassery Municipality.
- Age Limit: The minimum age requirement is 18 years as of January 1, 2023, and the maximum age should not exceed 46 years. However, SC/ST category candidates will be eligible for a statutory age relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit. Additionally, those who have served temporarily in Anganwadis will be eligible for age relaxation based on the length of service.
Eligibility Criteria for Anganwadi Helper:
- Education: Candidates must have the ability to read and write, and a minimum qualification of SSLC.
- Residence: Applicants must be permanent residents of Kalamassery Municipality.
- Age Limit: The age criteria are the same as for Anganwadi Workers, i.e., 18 to 46 years. SC/ST category candidates will have a relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit, and temporary Anganwadi workers will receive age relaxation based on their length of service.
