Energy Management Centre Kerala Announces Opening for Energy Club Coordinators
The Energy Management Centre (EMC) Kerala, under the Department of Power, Government of Kerala, is seeking applications from interested candidates for the position of Energy Club Coordinators (EC Coordinators) for the academic year 2023-24. The purpose of this recruitment is to establish and monitor Energy Clubs in schools across the state. Empanelled coordinators will be responsible for coordinating various activities at different levels within the educational system. This part-time engagement requires candidates to follow the directions of EMC and address any issues that arise during the program's implementation.
Eligibility Criteria for EC Coordinators
To be eligible for the position, applicants must be residents of Kerala and possess valid identity proof. Additionally, they should have completed a graduation degree from any Institute or University recognized by the Government of Kerala. Preference will be given to candidates who are academic or administrative staff members of educational institutions, especially government or government-aided schools. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, and experience in coordinating activities at the school, college, or district level is desirable.
Roles and Responsibilities of EC Coordinators
The selected EC Coordinators will play a crucial role in establishing and managing Energy Clubs in schools. Their responsibilities include guiding educational institutions in forming Energy Clubs, coordinating various club activities and events at different levels, liaising with EMC representatives and school authorities, monitoring program implementation, managing funds allocated for activities, participating in review meetings and knowledge sharing sessions conducted by EMC, and providing support to technical committees, if required.
Honorarium and Empanelment Procedure
Selected EC Coordinators will receive an annual honorarium based on successful program implementation within their jurisdiction. The exact amount will be determined according to the payment conditions mentioned in the published Prospectus for each academic year. Applicants must attach their Curriculum Vitae, proof of highest educational qualification, and a No-Objection Certificate from their current educational institution.
General Terms and Conditions
Applicants selected as EC Coordinators will be eligible for honorarium and applicable TA/DA from EMC. However, they will not be considered as employees of EMC and will not receive its remuneration or other benefits. The engagement is for a period of one year, with the possibility of extension based on EMC's decision. Shortlisting of applicants will be based on experience and relevant skills.
