In a significant step towards ensuring a safe work environment for women, the Department of Women and Child Development has introduced the Posh Compliance Portal. This online platform aims to streamline the process of recording information related to the Internal Committee established under the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (Posh) Act of 2013.
As per the guidelines, establishments with a workforce of 10 or more employees, whether permanent or temporary, are required to register relevant information, complaints, and reports pertaining to their Internal Committee on the designated portal

Highlighting the importance of this initiative, the District Women and Child Development Officer emphasized that the portal serves as a central repository for various data points. Notably, it includes information on complaints lodged by women employees in both public and private institutions with less than ten employees. Additionally, it encompasses records for women working in the unorganized sector.
To ensure comprehensive data collection, the officer appointed by the District Collector is responsible for inputting relevant information regarding local committees and reports into the portal. This approach aims to gather a holistic overview of the current landscape of workplace harassment and enhance the efficacy of preventive measures.
The Posh Compliance Portal serves as a critical tool for monitoring compliance with the Posh Act and acts as a catalyst in fostering a safer and more supportive working environment. By mandating establishments to register information related to their Internal Committee, it strengthens the commitment towards protecting women against sexual harassment at workplaces.
This digital platform streamlines the reporting process, making it easier for organizations and individuals to access and submit information. Moreover, it enables authorities to analyze the data effectively and identify areas that require intervention or further improvement.
With the introduction of the Posh Compliance Portal, the Department of Women and Child Development takes a significant stride towards ensuring the safety and well-being of women in the workforce. By leveraging technology and effective data management, this initiative reaffirms the commitment to combatting sexual harassment and promoting gender equality in workplaces across the state.
Employers are urged to promptly register their Internal Committee information and contribute to the ongoing efforts to create a harmonious and inclusive work environment that values the dignity and rights of every employee.
As the Posh Compliance Portal comes into operation, it is expected to drive increased accountability and ultimately foster a culture of respect and equality in workplaces throughout Kerala.
