Thiruvananthapuram, June 28, 2023 - The Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) has issued a notification inviting applications for various job positions related to the establishment of Science Parks in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, and Kannur. The project aims to harness the potential of advancements in science and technology and promote a knowledge-based economy in the state.
KSCSTE has been designated as the Special Purpose Vehicle for the execution of the project, with the University of Kerala, Cochin University of Science and Technology, and Kannur University identified as the Principal Associating Universities (PAUs) for the respective Science Parks. Each Science Park will consist of two blocks spanning an area of 10 lakhs sq. ft, with an investment of Rs. 200 crores from the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB).
The job positions involve coordinating technical services for the establishment of the Science Parks, collaborating with international universities and agencies for industrial and investment promotion, and extensive travel to various locations during the project execution.
The online application process begins on June 28, 2023, at 10:00 AM and ends on July 12, 2023, at 05:00 PM.
The available job positions and their requirements are as follows:
1. Manager (Project): The responsibilities include designing and developing scientific projects, coordinating with international universities and stakeholders, and supporting overall project establishment and quality management activities. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Science/Engineering from a reputed institution, along with a minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience and expertise in project management.
2. Assistant Manager (Administration): The role involves coordination with Principal Associating Universities and government departments/agencies, providing support services for project execution, and assisting in the preparation of project documents. Candidates should have a graduate degree in Biological Science, a regular MBA, and a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification work experience in project management or related fields.
3. Assistant Manager (Infrastructure): Responsibilities include coordination with PAUs and government departments/agencies, project execution support, and project planning and execution of civil and allied works. Candidates must have a B.Tech in Civil Engineering, and a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification work experience in infrastructure project management.
4. Assistant Manager (Business Development): The job involves coordination with PAUs and government departments/agencies, project execution support, and assistance in the preparation of project documents. Candidates should have a graduation degree in Engineering, a regular MBA, and a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification work experience in project appraisal, investment, promotion, or related areas.

The appointment will be on a temporary basis, initially for one year and extendable based on performance. Emoluments will be fixed based on the qualifications and experience of the candidates. Travel allowances and benefits will be provided as per the eligibility criteria.
The selection process will involve a detailed scrutiny of applications/credentials, followed by written tests, group discussions, skill assessments, and interviews for shortlisted candidates.
