Government of Kerala announces scheme to promote MSMEs through Industry Internship Programme
In a bid to promote the establishment of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Kerala, the Government of Kerala, in collaboration with agencies like Kudumbashree, Employment Exchange, KSBCDC, and Kerala Startup Mission, has launched a new scheme. Through the scheme, titled "Local Economic Development and Sustainability of Enterprises - Industry Internship Programme," the government aims to set up one lakh MSMEs across the state. The initiative is expected to provide a boost to the local economy and create employment opportunities.
Walk-in-interview for the position of Enterprise Development Executive in Ernakulam District
The Directorate of Industries and Commerce (DIC) has released a notification inviting qualified candidates for a walk-in-interview to be held on 1st July 2023. The position available is that of Enterprise Development Executive on a one-year contract basis. The selected candidates will be placed in various local self-government institutions, including Grama Panchayats, Municipalities, and Corporations, throughout Ernakulam District. Their primary responsibility will be to promote micro, small, and medium industries at the local level.
1. Details of the post and eligibility criteria
The position of Enterprise Development Executive requires a B.Tech. degree in any branch or an MBA qualification. Work experience is not mandatory; however, candidates with relevant post-qualification experience will be given additional weightage during the selection process. The age limit for candidates is between 18 and 35 years as of 1st January 2022. The selected candidates will receive a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 22,000 per month.

The registration process began on 19th June 2023 and will conclude on 24th June 2023.
