In an effort to strengthen the education system and promote residential schooling, Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) has recently issued a job notification for the recruitment of Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) and Hostel Wardens (Male and Female) across India. The Trained Graduate Teachers positions are divided into various categories based on subjects and language specializations. The TGTs will be recruited for subjects like Hindi, English, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science. There are also TGTs for third languages such as Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odiya, Telugu, Urdu, Mizo, Sanskrit, and Santali. Additionally, there are TGTs for miscellaneous categories like Music, Art, Physical Education Teacher (PET) for both male and female candidates, and Librarian.
The salary for TGTs (English/Hindi/Mathematics/Science/Social Studies/3rd Language/Librarian) falls under Level 7, with a monthly pay ranging from Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400. Other TGTs (Music/Art/PET Male/PET Female) will receive a Level 6 salary, ranging from Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400. The salary for Hostel Wardens is set at Level 5, offering a monthly pay scale of Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300.
Eligible candidates applying for the TGT and Hostel Warden positions must not exceed 35 years of age. The selection process will include Document Verification, a Written Test, and a Personal Interview.
Candidates interested in applying for EMRS Recruitment 2023 must possess the necessary qualifications. For TGT positions, candidates should have completed a four-year integrated degree course from the Regional College of Education of NCERT in the relevant subject or hold a Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subjects and in aggregate. Additionally, candidates should have a B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized university and pass the State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II.
As for the Hostel Warden position, candidates should have completed a four-year integrated degree course from the Regional College of Education of NCERT or any other NCTE recognized institution in the relevant subject or possess a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university/institute.
The application fee for General, OBC, and EWS candidates applying for TGT positions is Rs. 1500, while for Hostel Warden positions, it is Rs. 1000. SC/ST/PwD candidates are exempt from the application fee.
