The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK), located in Kozhikode, invites applications for two contractual positions of Life Guards for its Swimming Pool. The institute aims to hire one male and one female candidate for these vacancies.

Remunerations available for the post
Applicants should be between the ages of 25 and 50 years, with the usual age relaxations applicable to deserving categories as per the Government of India rules. The selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 18,000/- along with a telephone allowance of Rs. 300/- per month.
Eligibility of the candidates
To be eligible for the position, candidates must possess a minimum educational qualification of SSLC or its equivalent. They should also have swimming knowledge, a valid certificate in lifeguarding, and preferably have experience in first aid and other emergency rescues. A minimum of 6 months' experience as a professional life guard is required. Additionally, candidates should have a good understanding of English and Hindi, be in good physical condition, and free from any health issues. The willingness to work in odd hours and on holidays is essential.
Preference will be given to ex-Navy/ex-coast guards, professional/certified swimmers who meet the above qualifications and experiences.

About the interview
Shortlisted candidates will be notified regarding the date and time of the interview. The engagement for the life guard positions will be on a contract basis for an initial period of six months, subject to extensions based on job requirements and performance.
It is important for applicants to note that any form of canvassing or bringing in any political or other influence will result in automatic disqualification from the selection process. The final decision regarding the selection will be made by the Director of IIMK.
