In a move to foster innovation and strategic development in the state, the Kerala Development and Innovation Strategy Council (K-DISC) has announced vacancies for Programme Executives and Programme Support Executives at the Kerala Knowledge Economy Mission (KKEM). These positions aim to facilitate the implementation of innovative ideas and coordinate knowledge initiatives, ultimately equipping young individuals with updated skills.
K-DISC, an advisory body constituted by the Government of Kerala, is dedicated to formulating path-breaking strategic plans that encompass technology, product and process innovations, and the social shaping of technology. The Kerala Knowledge Economy Mission (KKEM) aims to provide employment opportunities and support knowledge workers under a unified program. Targeting individuals who have lost their jobs abroad or have struggled to find employment after completing their studies, the mission aims to skill approximately 20 lakh individuals over the next five years.
The available positions, responsibilities, and requirements are as follows:
1. Programme Executives (Vacancy: 05): Programme Executives will be responsible for scheduling meetings with stakeholders, preparing project reports, and tracking project performance. Excellent English communication skills, strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities, and a minimum of two years of relevant experience are required. The age limit for applicants is 35 years, and the salary range is between Rs. 35,000 and Rs. 40,000.
2. Programme Support Executives (Vacancy: 12): Programme Support Executives will assist in scheduling meetings, preparing documents and project reports, and coordinating activities with stakeholders. They will also provide basic administrative support such as preparing presentations and composing emails. Similar to Programme Executives, candidates should possess strong English communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to write project reports. The age limit for applicants is 28 years, and the salary is set at Rs. 30,000.
The selection process will consist of a technical presentation, group discussion, and final interview, with different weightages assigned to each stage.
