On World Youth Skills Day, a significant district-level trainer registration drive has commenced under the guidance of the District Skill Development Committee. The month-long drive aims to identify and register skilled trainers who can contribute to enhancing the skills and employability of the young women in Kerala. The inauguration of the World Youth Skills Day celebration and the registration drive took place at the District Planning Committee Hall, presided over by Sub-Collector Muhammad Shafique.
Kerala Academy for Skills Excellence (KASE), the state's skill development mission, is actively involved in collecting extensive data on skill trainers throughout the state. The mission's goal is to identify proficient teachers and trainers capable of providing specialized short-term skill training tailored to specific industry sectors.
A major challenge faced by the skill ecosystem in Kerala is the scarcity of well-qualified and experienced professionals who can offer industry-relevant training. This database will serve as a solution to bridge this gap.
Trainers who register during this drive will receive specialized training and certification as certified trainers from KASE's TOT (Trainer of Trainers) Academy. This initiative will create a comprehensive database of certified trainers from various fields, forming a directory accessible to various skill development agencies across the state.
