The Kerala Maritime Board (KMB), established by the Government of Kerala through the Kerala Maritime Board Act 2017, is the nodal agency for all maritime-related activities in the state. In an effort to strengthen its workforce, the KMB, in association with the Centre for Management Development (CMD), has released a notification inviting qualified candidates to apply for various contract positions. Interested individuals can apply online through the CMD website from July 6, 2023, starting at 10:00 AM. The deadline for submitting online applications is July 19, 2023, until 5:00 PM.

1. Board Secretary
- Vacancy: 1
- Qualification: ACS/CS Passed
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in the preparation of Board Notices, Minutes of Meetings, and other Board Secretariat works
- Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 44,020/-
- Upper Age Limit: 36 years
2. Resident Engineer – Customs EDI Operation
- Vacancy: 2
- Qualification: Diploma in Network Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics and Communication
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in a recognized Customs EDI Center or networking in a reputed firm
- Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 21,175/-
- Upper Age Limit: 40 years
3. Senior Civil Engineer
- Vacancy: 1
- Qualification: Graduation in Civil Engineering
- Experience: Minimum 5 to 8 years in Port/Harbour Engineering, similar works, or civil/infrastructure construction works

- Upper Age Limit: 45 years
4. Electrical Engineer

- Qualification: Graduation in Electrical Engineering
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years in Port/Harbour Engineering, warehouse-related works, major building, or infrastructure works

- Qualification: Graduation in Civil Engineering
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years in Port/Harbour Engineering, similar works, or civil/infrastructure construction works

- Upper Age Limit: 36 years
Important Instructions for Candidates:
- The contract period for all positions is initially one year, with the possibility of renewal based on government decisions and candidate performance.
- The cut-off date for calculating age and experience is July 1, 2023.
- Admittance to the recruitment stages will be provisional, and final selection is subject to scrutiny of applications and credentials.
- Norms of selection will follow those applicable for contract posts in the Government of Kerala.
- Age relaxation is applicable for eligible categories as per Kerala government norms.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be notified via email/SMS for further procedures.
- The medium of written tests, if any, will be English.
