The counselor's role will encompass providing valuable counseling and career guidance to students from various pre-matric hostels in the district. To be eligible for the position, candidates must hold a Master's degree in Psychology (MA Psychology) or a Master's in Social Work (MSW) with specific training in Student Counseling. Alternatively, candidates with an MSc in Psychology are also eligible. However, those with qualifications from universities outside Kerala must produce an equivalence certificate. The age limit for candidates is between 25 and 45 years as of 1st January 2023.
Appointees for this crucial role will be rewarded with a monthly honorarium of Rs 18,000. Furthermore, the Scheduled Tribes Development Department aims to prioritize candidates from Scheduled Tribes who are permanent residents of Kozhikode district, giving them preference during the selection process.
