Indian Coast Guard Announces Recruitment Drive for Various Civilian Posts
The Indian Coast Guard has released a recruitment notification (CGRHQ(W)/01/2023) inviting applications for multiple civilian posts on a direct recruitment basis. The application process commenced with the advertisement published in the Employment News between 5th to 11th August 2023. The last date for receiving applications is set for 4th September 2023.

The vacancies are spread across several categories, each requiring specific qualifications and experience.
1. Store Keeper Grade II: This position falls under General Central Service, Group 'C', and Non-Gazetted category. The total number of vacancies is 01, with eligibility criteria including a 12th pass from a recognized Board or University and a minimum of one year of experience in handling stores from a recognized firm, Central or State Govt organization, or Public Sector Undertakings.
2. Engine Driver: The role of Engine Driver, also under Group 'C', has a total of 04 vacancies, with qualifications including Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent and a Certificate of competency as Engine Driver from a recognized Govt. Institute or equivalent. Desirable qualifications include 2 years of service as Sarang on a vessel of over four hundred Boat Horse power.
3. Draughtsman: The post of Draughtsman has 01 vacancy and requires a Diploma in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture and Ship construction from a recognized University or institution, or a certificate in Draughtsmanship in the relevant disciplines.
4. Civilian Motor Transport Driver: This position has 04 vacancies, and applicants must possess a 10th standard pass along with a valid driving license for both heavy and light motor vehicles. A minimum of two years' experience in driving motor vehicles is also required.
5. Forklift Operator, Welder (Skilled), Lascar, MTS (Peon), MTS (Sweeper), Unskilled Labourer: These positions also have varying vacancy numbers and specific qualifications tailored to each role.
