Through this innovative scheme, qualified candidates are invited for a walk-in-interview on September 11, 2023, for the position of Enterprise Development Executive on a one-year contract basis. This recruitment drive seeks to engage candidates in Idukki District, where they will work closely with local self-government institutions such as Grama Panchayats and Municipalities. The selected executives will be instrumental in promoting micro, small, and medium industries, thereby contributing to the growth of the local economy.
To be eligible for this opportunity, candidates need to possess a B.Tech degree or an MBA. While prior work experience is not mandatory, candidates with relevant post-qualification experience will receive additional weightage during the selection process. The age limit for applicants is between 18 and 35 years, and the selected candidates will receive a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 22,000 per month.
The Enterprise Development Executives will work under the supervision of the Industries Extension Officer of DIC, with the aim of enhancing industrial activities at the local level. Their performance will be evaluated regularly based on predefined metrics. It's important to note that the Directorate reserves the right to cancel the contract of executives who fail to meet performance benchmarks.
The walk-in-interview process reflects DIC's commitment to a transparent and rigorous selection process. Shortlisted candidates are expected to appear for the interview at the District Industries Centre in Idukki on the specified date and time. DIC holds the authority to decide whether a written test or assessment is necessary, based on the number of applications received.
This initiative underscores the government's dedication to fostering entrepreneurship and promoting economic growth at the grassroots level. By nurturing local industries, the Directorate of Industries and Commerce aims to contribute significantly to the state's overall development.
